India’s fascination with jewellery dates back ages. Over the years, the country has significant talent that creates excellent jewellery designs for the domestic and international markets. While there are many established names, there are many jewellery designers in India that have dared to dream big and made a mark for themselves. The 15 jewellery designers featured are Archana Jain, Bhairavi Shah, Gitanjli Sahijwaala, Kapila Bhutta, Kirtee Shah, Krishma S Jain, Laksh Pahuja, Meghna Bag Dass, Priti Bhatia, Priya Kaur, Rashmi Coprum, Soni Amin Shirin, Shrusshti Sharma, Tejal Jhaveri and Vijay Soni. In the book, each of these designers’ achievements are highlighted and unique designs showcased.

Speaking at the launch, Ms. Bhatt, said, “Design is often one of the differentiating elements. A uniquely-designed piece is highly valued and has a greater appeal. ‘WJA Designers of India’ is a big step in support of the designer community. These are talented designers and with this initiative, I wish to see them working closely with manufacturers and retailers to offer consumers a unique jewellery-buying experience. I want to share this moment of pride with WJA members and congratulate all designers who have made a difference. I also want to extend my wishes and appreciation to Shanoo Bijlani and her team at Spenta Multimedia for bringing this concept to life.”

She added, “For our industry to grow, it is imperative to have manufacturers, retailers and designers come together to create a beautiful piece to be presented to the consumers. I would urge manufacturers and retailers to connect with the designers featured in ‘WJA Designers of India’, seek opportunities to work together and help grow the industry.”
