GJEPC and GIA held a ceremony to award ‘Letter of completion certificates to the Customs Officials from the Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Centre (PCCCC) at the GJEPC Head Office in Bharat Diamond Bourse, on on 27th January.
The Ceremony was graced by chief guest Mr. Sanjeev Chetule, Deputy Commissioner, PCCCC along with guest of honour Mr. Sriram Natarajan, Mananging Director of GIA India. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC and Mr. Apoorva Deshingkar, Sr. Director – Education and Market Development, GIA India.
More than 56 officers were trained in August and November 2022 in various aspects of gemmology (such as diamond grading) for the accurate valuation of parcels of diamonds and other gemstones and jewellery being imported/exported through the PCCCC.
