Shri Tarun Bajaj, Revenue Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Govt of India, visited Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) campus on 16th August 2022 along with Shri Balesh Kumar, Member of Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), Shri Roopam Kapoor, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Customs – Zone III and Shri Rajesh Sanan, Principal Commissioner of Customs, Zone III, and other dignitaries of the Customs namely Ms. Swati Shivam, Additional Commissioner of Customs, Shri R K Dwivedi, Additional Commissioner of Customs, Shri D S Rana, Additional Commissioner of Customs, Shri Sanjeev Chetule, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, PCCCC, Shri Mahendra Rathod, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, PCCCC, Shri Durgesh Salunke, Deputy Commissioner, Jitendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner on.

The above Officials visited the Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Center (PCCCC) in BDB and acquainted themselves with the customs clearance operations.

Further, they visited ‘India Diamond Trading Center’ (IDTC) in BDB, a unique facility to view the rough diamonds company ng in from Mines.. They also visited the State of the Art “Security Command” and “Control Center” of BDB.

Shri Mehul Shah, Vice President – BDB with Shri Milan Parikh, Committee Member Welcomed them and gave an overview of BDB complex, its history and functioning.

Shri Mehul Shah appreciated and thanked customs officials for their cooperation and support. A special thanks was given to Shri Roopam Kapoor, Chief Commissioner of Customs, who always stands by to resolve issues of the members.

After seeing the overall Campus operations and state of the art Command center, Shri Tarun Bajaj and Shri Balesh Kumar were impressed with the Security System and appreciated the standard maintained by the BDB.
