Bharat Diamond Sports League ‘BOX CRICKET’ Under-Arm Tournament a Huge Success
The first season of Bharat Diamond Sports League’s [BDSL] “BOX CRICKET” tournament organised by Bharat Diamond Bourse saw huge success with record turnout. The 19 Day tournament spanning over 91 matches altogether witnessed participation from a total of 28 elite teams from among BDB members. The objective of conducting the season 1 BDSL was to encourage team spirit, motivation, and foster camaraderie amongst the team members.
The tournament was played both for the Box Cricket League and Corporate Trophy Championship, with teams fervently competing to claim the coveted championship titles. The “BDB Stars” team emerged victorious in the Box Cricket League, while the “BDB Warriors” secured the runner-up position. The “Ramson Bulls” claimed the Corporate Trophy championship title, with “Vaibhav Titans” finishing as the runners-up to clinch the corporate trophy.
The tournament also recognized the outstanding individual performances, with Jay Shah from the Ramson Bulls being awarded the Best Batsman, and Akshay Kamble from the BDB Warriors being awarded the Best Bowler. Kishor Vithani from the Sanjay Brothers team was declared the Man of the Series for his remarkable performances throughout the tournament.
Mr Mehul Shah, Vice-President of BDB, expressed his profound gratitude and felicitations to all the participants
after the successful culmination of the tournaments. The esteemed Board of Directors of BDB were present during the award ceremony to extend their congratulations to the deserving winning teams and individuals.
Mr Mehul Shah thanked Saket Mehta, esteemed Committee Member, for his deep and passionate involvement in the diligent and meticulous organization of the tournament. He further conveyed his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Security & Fire Safety Department for their highly proficient and expert management of the tournament. JK Star sponsored the tournament and its Director Mr Shailesh bhai, graced the award ceremony with his presence. The other respected sponsors of the tournament were, M/s KARP IMPEX, M/s Laxmi Diamonds, and M/s Asian Star, were too highly appreciated for their invaluable and unwavering support.
The tournament was a splendid and riveting affair, thoroughly enjoyed by all the esteemed members, and highly successful in promoting the community’s harmonious spirit. The winning teams and individuals were duly honored during the distinguished award ceremony, which was attended by a vast number of BDB members. The members cherished and revelled in the grandeur and majesty of the tournament, and expressed their ardent desire for Season 2 to commence soon.
Bharat Diamond Bourse’s Security & Fire Safety Department secure Top Honours in 2023 TATA Ultra Marathon at Lonavala
Bharat Diamond Bourse’s Department of Security & Fire Safety has demonstrated their exceptional athletic prowess by participating in the TATA Ultra Marathon held in Lonavala on 25th Feb 2023, in both the 50Km and 35Km categories.
In the 35 Km Corporate Category, Anoop Tiwari, Pramod Ninghot, Shankar Khot, Rohtash Moriya, and Sanjay Yadav put forth a stellar performance, achieving the remarkable feat of a podium finish. Their average group timing of 03 Hour:22 Min:14 Seconds secured them the coveted 1st place in the Group Category. This historic win has earned them a well-deserved group prize of Rs. 50000/-, a testament to their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence.
Meanwhile, in the 50 KM Group category, Dnyaneshwar Gambhir, Rahul Nikalje, Rahul Kamble, Anil Sose, Rohit Aarde & Samir Jha demonstrated their endurance and determination, successfully completing the challenging
race.Amit, Manoj Patnayak & Sanjay Gupta was active in providing the Logistic Support to the BDB Runners.
Mr. Mehul Shah, the Vice-President of the BDB,conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the triumphant teammates, expressing his immense pride in their outstanding achievements. He lauded their outstanding efforts and commitment to not only their athletic pursuits but also to their respective fields. The BDB Technical Team and Horticulture team had also made impressive strides in their respective spheres in the past month, making this a truly remarkable period for the organization.
Bharat Diamond Bourse’s Department of Security & Fire Safety has once again proven their mettle and demonstrated that they are not just adept in ensuring safety and security but also excel in the area of athletics. Their remarkable achievements in the TATA Ultra Marathon serves as an inspiration to all, demonstrating that with perseverance, dedication, and teamwork, anything is possible.
